Dear Pet Lover:
After many wonderful years, our most treasured British Japanese Spaniel (Chin) passed away. He was beautiful in every way. We began to look for another Chin here in Canada for over a year but could never find another that didn't look like it was part Pekingese. They didn't have the lovely gentle smile we wanted to see. I finally turned to USA web sites, but we were very disappointed with many breeders pages, with many demanding you pick up the puppy personally even when they were 2000 miles away.
While googling tri-coloured Chins, I found Sandy's Kennel, definitely not within easy driving distance in Kansas. Her Japanese Chins pictured were perfectly beautiful; it was too good to be true. My first question to her was would she even consider shipping to Ontario Canada, and amazingly she said yes, with no hesitation, she knew from experience all would go well.
I was very skeptical as we had a difficult experience with another breeder located in a remote location who's kennel didn't meet any minimum sanitary conditions. Sandy took my hints and kindly provided me with lovely photos of her neat and tidy home, her manicured gardens and the modern clean kennel. I was still skeptical. So Sandy sent videos and many photos of the puppy I was most interested in as well as our second choice puppy and photos of the parents of the puppy. All showed happy and playful well cared for dogs.
I purchased the puppy, but I was still skeptical about the puppy travelling here. Some breeders list horror stories to defend their reason for not allowing their puppies to be shipped, making it sound like other breeders are irresponsible for making shipping arrangements. Sandy had full confidence in Continental Airlines and quite rightly so. I interviewed a representative of the airlines and the cargo ground handlers here in Toronto, and found that Continental has the most respected method of transporting live animals to Canada.
Well with that, we went ahead and bought another puppy for my retired in-laws from Sandy's kennel as a travel buddy to our puppy. Sandy made all the arrangements including all documents needed for entry into Canada, and e-mailed and/or faxed all copies to us to keep us up to date on it all. She wrote that she was getting a nice roomy crate for the two puppies and socialized the two non-litter mates to one another before the flight.
We went to the Toronto Airport on that Friday and waited with 7 other families for the pet plane to arrive. Once it landed, we all got paperwork, all drove to the Customs and Inspection buildings, all got our official stamps of approval, and all eagerly handed our landing port fees over to claim our new pets. From a special climate controlled area of the cargo building our puppies were retrieved and despite the late hour, our two very happy, healthy and friendly puppies come out of our incredibly spacious crate to greet us!!
Would I recommend Sandy's Kennel and our experience of buying from her USA location to others, yes most certainly I would! Both puppies are perfect examples of their respective breeds. Our Chin is graceful, sweet and happy with a soft expressive face and no trace of any form of nervousness. My in-law's parti-coloured Pomeranian is also perfect to her breed, playful, energetic, full of life and a joy for my in-laws to love. I wish all breeders had a love and devotion to their kennel the way Sandy Floersch clearly does.

I am pleased to write that I have recently purchased a darling female Pomeranian Puppy from Sandy Floresch's kennel. Choosing my puppy was easy to do with the wonderful photos she has on-line. When I contacted her she was quick to respond and provided all the information I needed to make up my mind. Then she worked with me to arrange shipping her even though her preferred Airline did not come to my Airport. My puppy arrived safe and sound and is a wonderful addition to the family. We could tell that you take pride in caring for your dogs. We were impressed with the way you gave us some of his treats, food and papers on how to handle different issues that may arise. I would like to take a moment to express how wonderful Sandy Floersch handled my adoption of my baby yorkie, Gracie. The whole process was extremely delightful. I was only able to come to her place on Sunday and she was happy to meet me then in addition to it being her birthday as well. She was ready with answers to all my questions and even some I didn't know to ask. I was provided with loads of information on care, health, diet, etc. Once home, I took Gracie to the vet for a check up and he said that she was a very healthy puppy and probably the cutest one he had seen in a while! If ever in the future I purchase another yorkie, I will most definitely be getting it from Sandy, no matter how far i have to travel.
